What is THC-A?

THCA is the acidic form of THC: tetrahydrocannabinolic acid. THCA is not intoxicating if ingested. Chemically, it has an additional molecular carboxyl ring, which prevents it from binding to receptors in the brain responsible for feeling high. When THCA is exposed to heat, such as when smoking, vaping, dabbing, or cooking, it will convert into the intoxicating, beloved cannabinoid THC. THCA is the acidic form of delta-9 THC, the most prominent intoxicating compound in cannabis.

What is THC-P?

THCP is a naturally occurring phytocannabinoid found in cannabis and an analog of THC, the compound responsible for most cannabis psychoactivity. Discovered only in late 2019, THCP is one of 120 (or more) cannabinoids found to date in the cannabis plant, with many more potentially awaiting discovery. Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabiphoral, or THCP, is a cannabinoid related closely to THC and found in very low concentrations in the cannabis plant. According to the researchers who discovered it, THCP interacts with the endocannabinoid system similarly to THC but with a far greater affinity for cannabinoid receptors. The research found that THCP binds to CB1 receptors up to 33 times more often than traditional THC, which means THCP is potentially up to 33x as potent as THC.

What is Delta-10?

Delta-10 is a cannabinoid found in trace amounts in the cannabis plant. Like regular THC -delta-9- it can get you high, but it is less potent than delta-9. This makes it similar to delta-8, another cannabinoid that is less potent than regular THC. Delta-10 can get you high, although it is much less potent than regular delta-9 THC. Anecdotally, delta-10 is commonly reported to provide energizing effects, whereas delta-8 is reported to be more sedating.

What is Delta-9 Live Resin?

Live Resin is a form of cannabis concentrate manufactured by taking freshly harvested cannabis and flash freezing it. Extractors flash freeze the fresh flower to subcritical temperatures before and throughout the process of extraction. When it comes to live resin vs. rosin, live resin requires specific, proprietary equipment. Essentially, obtained by applying enormous amounts of pressure to flower, hash, or bubble hash.
